Study in KSA application checklist for international students

Core documents

  • **Passport** — valid for at least 12 months beyond your intended start date.
  • **Secondary-school certificate** (undergraduate) or **Bachelor's/Master's degree** (postgraduate) with an official Arabic or English translation.
  • **Transcript** covering all years of study.
  • **Personal photo** meeting Saudi visa specs (white background, 35 × 45 mm).

Supporting documents

  • **Language proof**: IELTS / TOEFL for English-taught programs, or a Qiyas score for Arabic-taught programs.
  • **Recommendation letters**: two letters from teachers who taught you in your final academic year.
  • **Statement of purpose** (400–600 words) explaining why this program and this university.

Submission and timeline

Applications open in February and close in May for the September intake. Admissions decisions are announced in batches between April and June. Scholarship decisions usually arrive 2–3 weeks after the admissions decision — don't accept another offer until yours is confirmed.
